| SELL LOCALLY! |
|
Closo's geographic engine allows people to first see items that are local to them.
This way, local buyers can find local sellers, meet them face to face, and avoid paying shipping and money transfer fees.
For the sellers, local selling is especially good for expensive and bulky items as delivery is quick, and the fraud risk is reduced due to face-to-face dealing.
To sell an item locally, all you need to do is list the item, you don't need to specify shipping fees or provide an online payment account. |
 |
You need to register a Closo account before you can sell.
We ask all sellers to verify their accounts so we can be sure that the sellers are real sellers and not fraudsters. |
 |
You click on "Sell" in menu or "My closo > Ads > Post new ad", and you fill out the ad listing form.
You specify a price or set the price to be "negotiable" if you are willing to negotiate with your buyers.
Then you pick a locality for where you want the ad to be listed. The people in that locality will see your
ad on the top of their search results because your listing is local to them. |
 |
You also need to provide details about what you're selling. You need to think how
people looking for your item would search for it. For example if they're looking for a
Nikon 8700 digital camera, most likely they will search for Nikon 8700, or if they are
not sure what to search for, they will type "digital camera". So it's good to be as
specific as possible. |
 |
The description and highlights section, along with the pictures, help buyers make a decision about purchasing the item, so it's important to provide crisp, colorful, good
quality pictures, and a decent, accurate, legible description along with a highlights
section which is brief, and easy to understand. In the highlights, you want to write
about the most important aspects of the item. It's an opportunity for you to market
your product. |
